Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in America, but prevention is possible. UnitedHealthcare and Woman’s Day launched the Be a Heart Hero campaign to encourage women to live heart-healthy lifestyles.

Print & Digital Campaign

I was part of a team that developed an integrated marketing campaign to promote Be a Heart Hero. Materials included print ads, digital ads, Facebook badges, virtual cards, and a Healthy Living flipbook filled with heart-health tips. The yearlong campaign launched at the Red Dress Awards in New York City.

Call to Action

Materials invited women to take pledges and enter for chances to win prizes by visiting WomansDay.com. Pledges included (1) heart health, (2) exercise, (3) stress reduction, and (4) healthy eating. Visitors could also order Heart Hero bracelets, download Facebook badges, and send virtual cards to friends and loved ones. The campaign wrapped up with a grand prize sweepstakes for a spa getaway package.
