When 3M Nexcare introduced diamond-shaped bandages, the challenge was figuring out how to compete against a household brand like Band-Aid.

Fact is, Band-Aid is a proprietary eponym — a brand name that has fallen into general use. When you get a cut, you ask for a Band-Aid (not a bandage). Just like you use a Kleenex to blow your nose. Q-tip is another one. So is Styrofoam.

With this website, the goal is to get people to try Nexcare so they can see that diamond-shaped bandages are better than Band-Aids. The site promotes the entire line of Nexcare products and features articles that shows how Nexcare can help consumers lead healthier, safer lives.
