CLEAR online investigation software case studies for Thomson Reuters

  • Thomson Reuters case study: CLEAR investigation software Cheyenne homicide investigation

A criminal investigator uncovers new evidence in a murder case that has remained unsolved for five decades. A sheriff’s department recovers two dozen pieces of musical equipment stolen from a church youth group. A county code enforcement department connects a homeless family living in a vehicle with expired tags to a nonprofit organization that provides essential resources.

These are some of the people and situations I wrote about as I crafted a series of case studies for Thomson Reuters.

Engage audiences with storytelling

Thomson Reuters invited subscribers of its CLEAR online investigation software to submit success stories to its Everyday Heroes program for a chance to win $10,000 donated to a charity of their choice. Each case study highlighted ways organizations use CLEAR to identify and locate people, connect critical facts and solve real-world challenges.

Using my background as a fiction writer, I conducted interviews with finalists and crafted stories that brought the people at the center of each narrative to life.
